Description

Nyakasanza Parish has embarked on ministering the elderly together with People living with Disabilities hence putting them at the forefront among others.

With this ministry, because these brothers and sisters of ours have long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments which in interaction with various barriers may hinder their full and effective potential to perform various activities, it is our full responsibility now to let them live a happy life by offering them services that will let them acquire their full potential of doing things.

Responsibilities

With the limited resources that we have at our disposal at our parish, we have set up two homecare centres for both the Elderly and People Living with Disabilities.

Nyakasanza Parish strives and stresses its unswerving commitment to the upliftment and improvement of the conditions of those members of our society who are Elderly and Disabled hence enabling disabled women, men and youth to be at the forefront of their own development. Recognising the additional disadvantage experienced by this vulnerable group, this programme seeks to promote their participation in the DR. Congo movement of gender equality, and facilitates their acquisition of leadership and self help development skills.
